Cascade Cobbler began as a dream of long-time climber and shoe resoler, James DeSalvo. Having made his way through college as a Cobbler, he knew the skill very well. In the years following, he would often resole his and friends' rock shoes. His work as Instructor and later Director at Outward Bound took him away from the shoe repair world for awhile, but allowed him to make many connections in the climbing and business worlds. When James and Tory met at Outward Bound, they decided the timing was right to launch Cascade Cobbler in their home town of Mazama, Washington. Wanting to start a business that would allow them a flexible schedule to recreate in their mountain home and spend time with their growing family, while using their hands and connecting with outdoor enthusiasts.
In the years since its inception, Cascade Cobbler has grown and grown. We are grateful to NW climbers for using our services, referring climbers our way and to the rock gyms and Universities who have partnered with us across the country!
